Where it began
Vayeno was founded on a simple, urgent truth: the ocean is drowning in plastic, and the products we buy every day are part of the problem.
We set out to change that. Not with compromise, but with craft. Every Vayeno bag is made from certified recycled ocean-bound plastic — materials recovered from coastal communities before they reach the sea.

Most ocean plastic never makes it to a recycling facility. It enters waterways from coastal communities that lack waste infrastructure — and once it reaches the sea, it breaks into microplastics that enter the food chain.
Ocean-bound plastic collection intercepts this material before it reaches the water. By building our bags from these recovered plastics, each Vayeno purchase directly funds collection efforts in the Asia-Pacific region.
